Truth and consequences

Well its been almost six months and the new site still isn't complete yet, so I'll be sticking with WCN for the time being. With school and everything else coming at me all at once, WCN is simply the easier solution. I definitely want to move to my own site, but I just can't do it right now.

In the meantime, its good to be back on track with PSK. I want to get done with Act 5. Its been sitting around all summer, and I know readers are getting tired of looking at the same old pages. Hope you guys liked page 62, and I'm sure you're going to dig page 63 as well.

See you soon.

Moving on up!

Well, after being with WCN for over a year, its time to move to a better site. So I scrounged up some dough and purchased my own space! The new site will be "Psychicsoldierkai.com" (long I know!), and will include forums, an integrated blog, and be run by Comicpress and Wordpress. I'm very excited, and I think its timed perfectly with the beginning of act 5.

To everyone that's been reading thus far, thanks for the support. Its only going to get better from here!

Channeling my inner Joe Mad

As we glide towards the end of the 4th act of Psychic Soldier Kai, I've decided to add some "action pages" to the story. Not that I hadn't planned to have a little action in the end of this act, but the idea went from a couple of panels to a couple of pages.

Where does Joe Madueria come into this discussion? Well I've been reading a lot of his stuff lately to give me ideas about how I want do these last few pages. Let's face it, no comic artist can produce energy the way Joe Mad does, so I'm really using him as inspiration.

Finally, I want to say thanks to everyone who reads my comic and commenting in my little box on the bottom. Its so nice to see that something you created means something to someone else. Thanks again, and keep reading Psychic Soldier Kai!

P.S. Enjoy Spring! Its the best season period.

Watchman

So I finally saw this movie last night. Never read the comic, but given its legendary status among comic heads, I was really excited to see the film adaptation.

I loved it.

Definitely not your typical super hero movie, and that's a wonderful thing. However, I can already hear the groans from people who think that super hero movies have to be this or that. I thought that the Dark Knight did a lot to shatter that bias, but a lot of work still needs to be done. Hopefully Watchmen will do even more to show that "super hero" stories aren't one-dimensional parodies of the human experience, but are more often than not a mirror on our society and ourselves. They're the ultimate thesis on what flawed individuals do when given the powers of a god.

Anyway, enough of my babble. Go see the movie!!

First review for Psychic Soldier Kai!

The good folks over at The Heraldry of Webcomics gave us a pretty good review. I was pretty pleased with the whole thing, and I'm glad that someone besides myself understands my writing style!

I'm hoping for more web reviews in the future as PSK continues to grow and more characters and revelations are revealed about our hero and his unique and strange heritage.

Back into the swing of things...

Well after almost a month of not posting anything on my comic, I'm finally able to post a new page.

Its been a crazy month of incredible highs and abysmal lows. However it feels great to be able to do my comic again. I'm going to shoot for 3 times a week, but I got a feeling that I'll probably be back to one time a week before I know it...

Anyway, I want to thank all my reader who continually check my work even when I'm on a hiatus. You guys are awesome, and always keep me inspired.
